About Sam Devore

Sam has spent his career meeting with managers and conducting due diligence on private funds, specializing in real estate. Sam also has years of experience raising institutional capital for real estate managers and has built numerous relationships with a wide range of institutional investors including public and private pensions, insurance companies, endowments and foundations, consultants, asset and wealth managers, banks and family offices. Prior to founding Curavest, Sam was a Managing Director at Shelter Rock Capital Group where he worked on capital raising mandates for institutional real estate managers globally including closed and open-ended funds, clubs, joint ventures, separate accounts, and co-investments. Sam was also a member of Greenhill & Co.’s Real Estate Capital Advisory group and Cassidy Turley’s (now Cushman & Wakefield) Investment Sales team.

Sam holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and an M.S. in Real Estate from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. While attending Johns Hopkins University, Sam was a member of the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championship team and Co-Captain of the men’s lacrosse team. Sam then played Major League Lacrosse for four seasons and won an MLL Championship with the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
